Travelling Cable Sweater Pattern

A classic sweater shape with the addition of a travelling rib, adding flow and texture the fabric. This sweater is worked in pieces for structure and integrity. Shaping is included for the neck, shoulders and waist to give a flattering fit.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% merino wool, 30% masham wool, 10% mohair, 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g hank) in Castlerigg – 4 [5: 5: 6: 6: 7] hanks

Gauge:

Cable panel 23 sts meas 6.5 cm (2.5 in) wide.
29 sts and 40 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st using 3mm (US 2.5) needles.

Sizes and measurements:

Recommended to fit a chest circumference of: 76-81 [86-91: 97-102: 107-112: 117-122: 127-132] cm (30-32 [34-36: 38-40: 42-44: 46-48: 50-52] in) 

Chest circumference (at underarm): 90 [98: 110: 121: 134: 143] cm (36 [39: 44: 48.5: 53.5: 57.5] in)
Length (from side neck): 52 [53: 54: 55: 56: 57] cm (20.25 [20.5: 21: 21.5: 21.75: 22.25] in)
Sleeve seam: 32 [32: 33: 33: 33: 34] cm (12.5 [12.5: 13: 13: 13: 13.5] in)

Recommended ease: 

Designed with 5–15 cm (3–7 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.
