Cross-over Top Pattern

This feminine piece is worked from cuff to cuff in simple stocking stitch with a garter trim for structure. The fabric is split to create the soft twist at the front before continuing in with body shaping and seamed at the end.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Road to China Lace (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 600 m (656 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Light Amethyst – 2 [2: 3: 3: 4: 4] hanks

Gauge:

25 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st on 3.5mm (US 4) needles.

Length (from shoulder): 45.5 [47: 48.5: 50: 51.5: 53.5] cm (17.75 [18.5: 19: 19.75: 20.25: 21] in)

Recommended ease: 

Designed with 3–10 cm (1–3.5 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.
