Breton Sweater Pattern

The perfect stripe sweater and a classic for any wardrobe. Worked from the bottom up in the round to the armhole and then worked flat. The set-in sleeves are worked in the round and then seamed for stability. This sweater is an ideal opportunity to learn the jogless stripe method creating beautifully seamless stripes when working in the round.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in Grigio (A) – 5 [5: 6: 6: 8: 8] hanks, Breton (B) – 3 [3: 4: 4: 5: 5] hanks and Willow (C) – 3 [3: 4: 4: 5: 5] hanks

Recommended to fit a chest circumference of: 76-81 [86-91: 97-102: 107-112: 117-122: 127-132] cm (30-32 [34-36: 38-40: 42-44: 46-48: 50-52] in)

Chest circumference (at underarm): 85.5 [95.5: 105.5: 115.5: 125.5: 135.5] cm (34.25 [38.25: 42.25: 46.25: 50.25: 54.25] in)
Length (from shoulder): 57.5 [58: 59.5: 60.5: 61.5: 63.5] cm (22.75 [23: 23.5: 24: 24.25: 25] in)
Sleeve seam: 45 cm (17.75 in)

Recommended ease: 

Designed with 5 cm (2 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

Gauge:

22 sts and 30 rnds / rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st using 4mm (US 6) needles.
